With special contributions by

Every –single– word, as every conjunction, as every possible combination in Mad Dog Little Dragon River is rooted in history. to stories. to memories; physical, abstract, intangible. cosmologies. bodies of water, creatures in power of those bodies, flowing in constant transformation, getting stagnant at times in rivers of madness. the madness of witness, alluding to Chinese poets, dragons and imperial guardians of humankind. Dogs: dog figures, dog behaviours, dog creatures and creations. some to keep away evil spirits, some to bite the hand that feeds them. healing companions with their presence grounded to earth.

Pia León Eikaas detoured from running competitions in Japan (2003) and intermittently living in China (2008-2014) to street h(a)unts, liquid wanderings, smudge cleanses among the different pathways that lead her to artistic manifestations and symptoms. Her practice rambles, listening and inviting other voices to resonate in all its different variations with the encounters and outcomes of her research.

Mad Dog Little Dragon River is a constellation of thoughts Pia León invites us to flow in. friends, contributors, you, me, dogs in all forms. perhaps an opportunity for communal healing, potential separations, frictions or combinations. We are all carriers of unexpected change after all.
