SISTERS HOPE HOME
Call for visiting inhabitants
researchers/artists/teachers/activists
What is the quality of the sensuous and how can it be explored? How can we truly inhabit the poetic and bring it into our daily lives? How can we develop new modes of being and being together based on the sensuous and poetic? How can we inhabit art more permanently? How would a future society be like from the premise of the sensuous and poetic? And not at least – How can we inhabit it?
These are some of the questions one could explore whether you seek to respond to this call as a visiting inhabitant/researcher/artist/teacher/activist at Sisters Hope Home.
Sisters Hope Home is 5-year-durational artwork and platform for artistic research where we explore the quality of the sensuous and unfold the potential of new modes of poetic and sensuous modes of being and being together. Here we will create a permanent acces to the Sensuous Society.
Sisters Hope Home is also rooted in our current artistic research on how inhabitation of the sensuous and poetic relates to the understanding of the ecological connectedness of everything.
Practical information
You can apply for a stay at Sisters Hope Home for the duration of one to 12 weeks in the time period from October 2021 and until the end of June 2022. During your stay you will live in Sisters Hope Home and you will be integrated into the lived life and daily rutines of the house. You will get a bed in our dormitory and you will have acces to the kitchen and a shared study room. You can also access a basic artists studio if you would like to paint or have other practices that might be messy.
During your stay you will also step into the function as host where you will help us welcome new people into the house and well as maintaining the space.

In order to participate
Please send a letter of motivation of 500 words in which you describe why you want to participate, and how you would like to contribute to our research. Please include a 200-word biographical statement and send to: sistershope@sistershope.dk. Please send us an application as soon as possible and no later than November 1st – and please state the time frame you wish for your stay.

When entering Sisters Hope Home you are entering an on-going performative manifestation and it is important that you understand and respect the following artistic framework:
Sisters Hope Home is analogue and not possible to use electronic devises (such phones or computers) during your stay.
The spoken word in Sisters Hope Home is English.
The dress code of Sisters Hope Home is black and white (with no visible brands or logos).
Everything that you bring into Sisters Hope Home shall be debranded (no visible brands or logos).
The pace of Sisters Hope Home is gentle with slowed movement and soft dialogue.
