A PROTEST FOR PALESTINE: CHRISTIANSBORG

Art workers and activists in support of Palestine and against Israel’s deliberate starvation of the population in Gaza. On the 10th of March, a happening took place, where art workers and activists brought a bag of flour in a silent protest in front of the Danish Parliament Christiansborg.

The protesters distributed pamphlets demanding that Denmark immediately stop all support for Israel and instead actively pressures Israel to stop the massacres and starvation of the people in Gaza.

Text from the Pamphlet:

We are appalled by the flour massacre that took place in Gaza on Thursday the 29th of February at 4am in the morning. The Israeli army killed 116 and wounded over 700 civilians who were merely seeking emergency aid.

Since the 7th of October 2023, 31,000 civilians have been killed, 90% of Gaza's population are homeless, all hospitals have been bombed and over 2 million Palestinians are in the middle of a famine because Israel denies access for humanitarian aid.

Enough is enough – even for the Danish government!

We are shocked that the "children's prime minister" Mette Frederiksen continues to support Israel's massacre and deliberate starvation of the civilian population in Gaza. Israel has now killed 13,000 of Gaza's children. Israel has orphaned 17,000 children in Gaza. Gaza's children are starting to starve to death – at a rapid pace.

Sunday the 10th of March, what everyone fears will happen: Israel launches a ground offensive in Rafah. There is nowhere for the 1.4 million starving Palestinian civilians to flee to avoid the carnage. Israel stands accused of genocide at the UN International Court of Justice. Israel continues to bomb and starve the people of Gaza, despite the court's demands to ensure minimal civilian casualties and access to humanitarian aid.

We demand that Denmark immediately drop all support for Israel.

We demand that Denmark actively pressures Israel to stop the massacres of Gaza's residents.

Art workers for Palestine (Kulturarbejdere for Palæstina) is a danish initiative that supports a free Palestine and works against the current political censorship in the arts.
