Verden er fyldt med steder, hvor kunsten har mulighed for at udfolde sig – faktisk er der flere museer, kunsthaller og gallerier, end man kan nå at besøge på et liv. Her har vi samlet nogle af de steder i verden, som har givet os de bedste oplevelser, eller som vi drømmer om at besøge en dag. Det er slet ikke en komplet liste, men et lille arkiv til inspiration. Et arkiv som vil vokse og udvikle sig med tiden. UCCA | ULLENS CENTER FOR CONTEMPORARY ART
"Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA) is the international institution at the heart of Beijing’s 798 Art District. Each year it presents a wide range of exhibitions and educational programs, highlighting artists from China and beyond, and encouraging the public to engage with contemporary art and culture. GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM BILBAo
"When it opened in 1997, the Frank Gehry–designed Guggenheim Museum Bilbao — a spectacular structure made of titanium, glass, and limestone — was hailed as the most important building of its time. Located in the Basque city of Bilbao in northern Spain, the museum features exhibitions organized by the Guggenheim Foundation and by the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, as well as selections from the permanent collection of the Guggenheim museums."

GALLERI MAGNUS KARLSSON
"Galleri Magnus Karlsson was founded in 1990. The first 7 years the gallery was located in Västerås, a city 100 km west of Stockholm. It gained a reputation as one of the most interesting contemporary art galleries in Sweden. In August 1997 the gallery moved to Stockholm. The focus of the gallery is to show the work of emerging artists from Sweden."

"Johan Berggren Gallery is an emerging, contemporary art gallery based in Malmö, Sweden. It was formed in April 2009. STOCKHOLM GALLERY DISTRICT
Stockholm Gallery District is centered around the 1930’s industrial building, Industricentralen, in the northern part of Stockholm. Previously the former factory building has been housing smaller businesses such as printers and textile manufacturers. The area around Hudiskvallsgatan has since the late 1990’s become the epicenter of Stockholm’s gallery scene including galleries such as Andréhn-Schiptjenko, Galerie Nordenhake, Galleri Andersson/Sandström, Christian Larsen and NAU Gallery.
“What do you do with an art collection when it is complete? If you donate it to a museum it ends up in their basement. No, I want everyone to be able to enjoy my art the way I do.” This was the idea that finally led to the founding of the museum, which opened on 27 March, 2011. Sven-Harry’s art museum is a spectacular building with a gleaming brass facade, in the middle of Stockholm, just by Vasaparken."
The boros collection
"The Boros Collection is a private collection of contemporary art. It contains groups of works by international artists dating from 1990 to the present. Different facets of the collection have been on public display since 2008 in a converted bunker, situated in Berlin-Mitte, with 3000 sqm of exhibition space spread over 80 rooms."
"The Hamburger Bahnhof – Museum für Gegenwart – Berlin presides over a comprehensive collection of contemporary art, which it presents in a variety of exhibitions. The museum’s name refers to the building’s original function as one of the first terminal stations of the rail system in Germany. It opened as the terminus of the railway line between Hamburg and Berlin in December 1846. Today it is preserved as the city’s only train station remaining from that time."

"Motto was started by Alexis Zavialoff around 2007, and initiated as a distribution company for Switzerland, specializing in magazines and fanzines, a service which hardly existed before on the Swiss territory. The number of available publications kept growing and it now comprises more than 10000 titles, the catalogue being constantly updated. [...] Motto Berlin is a store dedicated to books, magazines, artists’ publications and editions. Various presentations and publication launches take place every month and several exhibitions also take place during the year."
Niels borch jensen Gallery
"Niels Borch Jensen Editions was established in Copenhagen in 1979 with the aim of bringing emerging and established contemporary artists to work seriously with print media by producing projects that stand as significant, self-contained works of art. [...] Our gallery space in Berlin was subsequently opened in 1999. In our current space in Galerienhaus we present the published print projects done in collaboration with both emerging young artists and leading contemporary artists."
"The Pergamonmuseum houses three of the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin’s collections: the Antikensammlung, Vorderasiatisches Museum, and the Museum für Islamische Kunst. The impressive reconstructions of massive archaeological structures – the Pergamon Altar, Market Gate of Miletus, the Ishtar Gate and Processional Way from Babylon, and the Mshatta Facade – have made the Pergamonmuseum famous throughout the world, with the result that it is the most visited museum at the Staatliche Museen and in Germany as a whole."
When Supalife Kiosk was opened by Gabriele Zygor in 2004 the aim was to create a platform to expose screenprint artists and their work. Around half of the artists that Supalife represents is Berlin-based, and the rest are from abroad, but after the kiosk have turned into a non-profit organisation, the possibility and urge for doing more international collaborations have grown.
