Photography is a total perspective on reality becoming still more widespread not least as a consequence of the rapid development of new technologies. As Susan Sontag writes: "Reality has come to seem more and more like what we are shown by cameras." The camera's perspective on the world has fundamental implications for how we see and convey meaning to reality. It is in this sense a kind of artificial construction that is made to seem transparent. When art takes the form of photographs it often questions the normal readability of photographic subjects.

The works in this show combine photographs with other media or logics: imprints, embroidery, performance, paint, chemicals. They are logics that in different ways introduce another phenomology into the experience of looking at photographs. The photograph becomes more like an object. It is not only a framing of a piece of reality, but also in itself a piece of reality, connected to matter, actions and time.
