Når en plantage anlægges, skal der tages stilling til grundplanen og beplantningsmønsteret. Nogle af disse mønstre: Interplanting eller Diamond Planting, hvor træerne plantes forskudt, har fået tillagt overnaturlig betydning, da det er en geometri der falder sammen med et mønster i hellig geometri: Et fempunktssystem kendt som Quincunx-formationen.

Interplanting er et skæringspunkt, hvor praktisk videnskab om skovbrug og permakultur møder esoterisk okkult tradition. På udstillingen Orchard omdannes Eks-rummet til en alternativ, dunkel og meditativ tredimensionel plantageplan, hvor den særlige Interplanting geometri undersøges og gentages på forskellige måder i installationen. Installationen består af tekstilcollager, lys og lyd. Collagerne er lavet specifikt til Eks-rummet og består af transparente stoffer som tyl, silkechiffon, håndfarvet silke og organza. De hænger ned fra loft til gulv og fra væg til væg, med strategisk placerede åbninger, således at den besøgende kan bane sig vejen igennem rummet.

Motiverne på collagerne, cirkler i forskellige størrelser og farver, forestiller stiliserede træer. Cirklerne danner forskellige interplanting systemer, alt afhængigt af hvor i installation man befinder sig. Lyset der kommer fra et specialbygget loft, danner sit eget plantagesystem på gulvet og lyden er optaget i en vestsjællandsk frugttræsplantage i august 2018.

Anne Munnecke er optaget af systemer, mønstre, geometri og semiotik. Hun arbejder primært med tekstiler, tegning, maleri og papir. Værkerne er ofte meditative og sanselige med fokus på farver og teksturer, men refererer til kulturelle systemer, litteratur, populærkultur, okkulte mønstre og algoritmer.

Hun er uddannet fra Det Fynske Kunstakademi og Akademie der Bildende Künste Wien i 2012. Senest har hun udstillet hos Format Artspace, Kbh 2018, Vandrehallen, Helsingør 2018, David Risley Gallery, Kbh 2018, Kunstpakhuset, Ikast 2017, Huset for Kunst og Design, Holstebro 2016 og c4 projects, Kbh 2016.

When planning an orchard or plantation, you have to consider the layout system or contour system. Some of these systems: Interplanting or Diamond Planting, where the trees are planted at staggered intervals, has gained supernatural significance as it coincides with a pattern in sacred geometry: A five-pointed system known as the Quincunx Pattern.

Interplanting is a juncture where practical knowledge of forestry and permaculture meets esoteric occult tradition. The exhibition Orchard transforms Eks-rummet into an alternative, dark and meditative three-dimensional plantation plan, where the Interplanting system is examined and repeated throughout the installation. The installation is made up of textile collages, light and sound. The collages are customized to Eks-rummet, and made with transparent fabrics such as tulle, silk chiffon, hand coloured silk and organza. Hanging from floor to ceiling and wall to wall, with strategically placed openings for the visitor to pass through, they depict trees, stylized into circles of different sizes and colours.

The circles create various interplanting systems, depending on the position of the visitor in the installation. The light from the customized build ceiling, creates its own plantation pattern on the floor, and the sound is a recording from a Danish apple plantation, recorded in August 2018. 

Anne Munnecke is interested in systems, patterns, geometry and semiotics. She works with medias such as textiles, drawing, painting and collage. Her works are often meditative and sensuous with a focus on texture and colour but her practice also revolve around concepts of cultural patterns, literature, popular culture, occult traditions and algorithms.

Anne Munnecke is educated from The Funen Art Academy and Akademie der Bildende Künste Wien,  graduating in 2012. Lately she has exhibited at institutions and galleries such as Vandrehallen, Elsinore 2018, Format Artspace, Copenhagen 2018, David Risley Gallery, Copenhagen 2018,Kunstpakhuset, Ikast 2017, Huset for Kunst og Design, Holstebro 2016 and c4 projects, Copenhagen 2016.
