I’m fascinated by cities.
I always find myself browsing through photo books, architecture websites and even just peoples’ photo albums of their travels gazing at the haphazard compositions of building blocks, antennas, washing lines, and the curves, angles and details of buildings thinking about how together these elements spell out a living, breathing environment. The concrete jungle (or something like that).
I began this drawing with the intention of making a relatively small city scape but minutes turned into hours and hours into days – a couple in fact – and soon I found that it had spread across a page about a meter wide.
