THE “STATEMENT” PROJECT
Fashion culture nowadays is all about ‘making a statement’. Having printed statements on your clothes is the new street chique. They have become a marketing tool and the meaning is of no importance anymore. What is left are empty phrases which are being broadcasted exorbitantly loud into the world.
From this point of view I started with the “statement” project by making illustrations that showed the randomness of this statement hype.
Along the way I figured why not really make the “statement” wear instead of just drawing it? So therefore I can now offer you my own “statement” wear. The collection is up for sale in The Sweater Shop.
All sweaters are screen printed and handsigned.
